My sister in law was in regular checkup and her 34 weeks of pregnancy (18.09.18) she was normal and baby's condition was fine. At 37 weeks she was prescribed Pyrigesic 1000 mg TDS along with cap OVIN D3 (12.10.18) and mother and baby's condition was well. After that she was feeling uncomfortable with pain, she was taken to see the doctor on 26.10.18 at around 5 pm, doctor examined her and advised 1. Ultracet 1tds 2. Alora 0.25 mg hs 3. Omez dsr daily for another 5 days. How a doctor can prescribe Pyrigesic 1000 mg TDs at 37 weeks of pregnancy? And After that at 39 weeks as we all know pain killers can't be given. Not only that he advised to take Alprax 0.25. The result of this wrong medicine was observed within 50 hours. On 28.10.18 she realized that her baby was not moving. And after performing USG we came to know that the baby was expired. That was IUFD CASE. WEIGHT 3.11 KG. Her every test was normal and this was her first issue. please tell me why this was happened?

There is no rule that no painkillers can be taken in pregnancy and if pain is severe we have to give it for a short time and it will not affect the pregnancy or baby, The baby was lost not due to the drug and there may be come other cause which need to be studied.
