I have hypothyroidism and I have been taking the medicine called eltroxin 25 MG since July. My TSH in the first test was 18 and since then I am having 25 mg eltroxin daily but after the test this time my TSH is still 18 please suggest what should I do. I'm 27 years old female.

Hello, thanks for the query. When one is adequate dosage of Levothyroxine, TSH is maintained around 3 to 4 mU/L, at which all the symptoms are in complete control. WIth TSH at 18 mU/L, it is clear that the dosage is inadequate, needs to be increased. Thanks.
