Recently my daughter was hospitalized for asthma with lower respiratory infection i.e. Pneumonia. She got breathlessness and respiratory rate became 60 per min. Now she is fine. Test report shows her ige as 87.82. Doctor had practice budecort. My question 1. Is it confirm case of asthma and budecort inhaler, 200,2 puffs in a day is necessary? 2. Can I go for further examination and avoid budecort after that? 3. Does budecort has side effect? If yes, then can its use be limited, only in season change time? 4. Does it have any vaccine or any treatment for permanent cure? Please help me sir.

50% of children outgrow asthma by age 14 years. Asthma need to be confirmed by PFT if possible. budecort inhalation reduces bronchial inflamation and leading to decrease in hyperresponse to trigers. Have side effect like oral candiasis, osteoporosis in childrens. No vaccine to cure asthma. If only seasonal symtoms then budecort can b etaken in that season only
