Hello, my husband is 33 years old and recently we discovered after a blood test that he has glucose fasting plasma 133 mg/dl and glucose postprandial plasma 176 mg/dl and insulin fasting serum 7.8uu/ml. I am totally unaware is he diabetic or not? If yes then it can be cured or not?

Hello, thanks for the query. To diagnose diabetes following are the criteria: fasting glucose 126 mg and above, pp 200 mg and above and /or hba1c% 6.5 and above. So please check the hba1c% to confirm. Or get an oral glucose tolerance test (ogtt) done, which give a clear idea. Thanks.
