I found that I have 9.5 tsh in my blood. My doc suggested me levothyroxine 25 mcg. But my symptoms aren't cured 100%. Should I increase my dose? Do you think it's correct to take 25 mcg levothyroxine for hypothyroidism with 9.5 tsh level?

Yes, it's correct. You can not increase dose like this. Take medicine for three months, then repeat test n then decide. It takes time.

Mr. lybrate-user, thanks for the query. I have seen the details given. There is no mention of what symptoms you have now. Secondly, since when are you on 25 mcg of levothyroxine? Almost all the symptoms of hypothyroidism are in check when tsh is maintained around 3 to 4 mu/l. But it takes over 4 weeks for that change to occur after starting the treatment. So patients are advised to check tsh after 6 weeks of taking levothyroxine every day. So please clarify these points. Thanks.
