Folate or folic acid is one of vit b complex. It is necessary for all men and women. It is given during pregnancy as it reduces birth defects in babies but that does not mean that only pregnant wonen need it. It is necessary for body cell functioning and its deficiency can cause anemia fatigue gray hair breathing difficulty sore mouth. You can get it naturally from leafy green vegetables beans peas lemons banana or synthetic as supplement. It is not stored in body and must get it to avoid deficiency.
