I am 52 years old weight-64 height-5'11 government service, taking medication for hyperthyroidism (thyronorm: 50 mcg) for past 20 years and sometimes feels lazy, constipated, no hunger for food and now I am even diagnosed with high ldl and triglycerides. Hello, Thanks for the query. Since you are on Thyronorm 50 mcg per day, the condition you have is Hypothyroidism. In this condition it is important to maintain TSH levels around 3 to 4 mU/L. There is no mention of either T3, T4 or TSH. So difficult give any comment. Please come back with those details also give full details of lipid profile. Then I will be able to comment. As you are taking thyronorm since 20 years it appears that you are having hypothyroid not hyperthyroid. Your symptom suggests that dose of thyronorm need to readjust for that please get your serum tsh test done and consult your physician. You have not mentioned levels of high ldl and triglycerides which up to certain extent can be taken care by diet, regular exercise, avoiding alcohol and smoking, maintaining ideal weight.
