Hi, I have ankle tendon issue. I feel something snapping over my outer ankle bone. As if something slipping. I checked online and symptoms show that it is peroneal tendon subluxation. I am able to do normal work but at times snapping and extreme pain happens when ankle twists in a particular way. Please suggest is it treatable with medicines or surgery is required and what is the cost of surgery and how many days rest after surgery?

Hi lybrate-user, I think you need professional consultation for your problem. Rather than diagnose your problems your self. It is good to have awareness and information about your body and problem. But no information can replace expert medical opinion. So first is go to the nearest and best orthopaedic physician and confirm your diagnosis. Also, you can ask all your queries to them. The problem you mentioned peroneal tendon subluxation is not common and can not occur easily without any specific trauma. So again difficult to give any advice. I would suggest to consult nearest orthopedic physician hope this will help you thank you.
