Hello, Thanks for the query. When a person with hypothyroidism is on adequate dosage of Levothyroxine, TSH is maintained around 3 to 4 mU/L, at which level all the symptoms are in check. Therefore, it is clear that present dosage is less, needs to be increased. For that I need to know the age, weight, height of the patient. Then a correct dose can be calculated. Then after starting that dose, TSH needs to be checked again after 6 to 8 weeks to see if desired level is achieved. Thanks.
