My prolactin level is 72 and I have pituitary tumor i.e. 75 mm. Also I get breast discharge from right breast on pressing which is yellowish in colour. I have consulted many doctors and I have taken cabergoline of 0.25 mg for almost 7 months but that also not regularly. Also I think I am suffering with anxiety and depression. Is this because of hyperprolactinaemia? Please suggest what should I do?

The tumors can cause serious problems, either because of their size (large tumors) or because they make extra hormones your body doesn't need (functioning tumors). They're typically treated with surgery, medicine, or radiation. Similarly, a prolactin (prl) test measures how much of a hormone called prolactin you have in your blood. The hormone is made in your pituitary gland, which is located just below your brain. When women are pregnant or have just given birth, their prolactin levels increase so they can make breast milk.
