Hi my brother is in 4th month of tb treatment with r-cinex 600/300 and combutol 1200. He is experiencing joint pains in ankles, feet,heel, around hip area, and wrists? Could that be of combutol. Is there any substitute of combutol. What shall he do now. He is in philippines at the moment. Need advice.

You need to check the uric acid level in blood. Combutol causes drug induced hyperuricemia ie, raised blood uric acid level leading to gouty arthritis. You need to consult your doctor for medicines to control the uric acid level.

It looks like you are anaemic. And also you have to check with your vitamin and calcium, if the bones are weak then automatically the pain gets triggered more as there is less energy during any metabolic activity.
