Hello Dr. I have less frequent itchy and dry and mild scalp skin in groin area, when I was teenage I used to get some fungal infections. Same like that I thought and applied clotrimazole dusting powder for 3 weeks. I could not see much improvement. Due to the location I couldn't go to my personal dermatologist. So I have surfed in google and found one similar type of infection erythrasma. This erythrasma infection images looks similar like what I have right now. The treatment was mentioned as erythrocin start. Can I take this oral drug for 14 days? Should I stop using clotrimazole dusting powder? Is there any other method to treat this infection. Because itching has increased. Incase erythrasma was infection and erythrocin start oral drug (how much dosage to be taken daily and for how many days) and what is topical treatment for it?
