My wife is 6 week pregnant. Earlier to her pregnancy doctor prescribed progesterone tablet to conceive baby (optogest 200sr). After pregnancy doctor prescribed no progesterone supplements. Presently she is taking tab. Fol xt, tab. Goodmorn forte and capsule arrant. Is it required to consume progesterone supplement for her as she was having low level of progesterone hormone before pregnancy? Is it safe to continue with optogest 200sr or susten sr200 tablets during first 3 months of pregnancy? Thanks in advance!

Hormonal pills are two edged swords. So better use it with the advise of your doctor only. They know better. If it would have required they would have prescribed.

No. Progesterone supplements are not required in pregnancy. The follicle and later the placenta produce more than enough progesterone. Supplements are never required in pregnancy. Take care
