Hello, thanks for the query. In t2 dm peripheral neuropathy is usually one of the common long term complications. This comes fairly early if glucose levels are not in good control. Ideally in a well controlled diabetes patient fbg should be < 100 mg or closer to 100 mg, pp 150 to 170 mg & hba1c% < 6.5%. If glucose levels are not in control then taking any treatment is not going to be of much help. As regards taking gabapentin 399 mg, it should always be taken with a proper prescription and under the advice of a physician. Dosage depends on the need. Thanks.
