Sir/madam my age is 70 yrs. I am hypothyroid pt from 1960 I am taking eltroxin 125 ng.in morning. At present my weight is 100 kg. I am type diabetic pt since 15 years. For which, I am taking glyciphage 1gm sr b.d and in the night sitagliptin1gm (januvia 1gm) at present my f.b.s is 185 and p.p.bs is 280 mg/dl. further,i got htn and using telmisartan 80 mg in morning and clindapene 10 mg ist night. My b.p average value is 140/80. My lipid profile values are with in limits and using stanlip145 mg (fenofibrate. There are antidiabetic medicines which can also help with weight reduction. I suggest the following changes in the diet and life style reduce the quantity of carbohydrate (rice, wheat, rava, maida) in each meal and increase the quantity of protein (dhal, soya, egg white, fish or chicken). Take lot of green leafy vegetables walk 5 km per day at your own pace and gradually reduce weight by 1 kg per month to ideal body weight (height in cm minus 100 will roughly be your ideal body weight in kg) about 72 kg.
