Hello my doctor tapered my dose of antidepressants fluvoxamine 50 mg and clonax 0.25 mg to this for 15 days: tab clocalm plus one tablet at bedtime next 10 days: tab recital plus one tablet at bedtime then stop please tell me is it safe do I get withdrawal after completion of medicines.

Hello lybrate-user. The medications in psychiatry are mostly started after reaching a particular diagnosis. And after a certain period psychiatrist try stopping the medications by tapering down the dosages. So it's completely fine to taper off the meds and then stop. You shouldn't have any withdrawals but you may have relapse of few symptoms after may be months of completely stopping the meds. Some people lack certain neurotransmitters in their brain which leads to relapse of symptoms after stopping meds. So you can try stopping meds after tapering off as advised by your psychiatrist but keep a look over your symptoms if they recur.
