My mother is having hypothyroidism, she is using thyronorm 25 mcg when her tsh was around 3.5. Today it is 5.35, does she need to increase her dosage. (female, 51 yrs, 52.5 kg)

Hello, Thanks for the query. I have seen the details given. TSH 5.35 is marginally high, should ideally be below the recommended upper limit. However, there is no need to increase the dosage unless there are specific symptoms related to hypothyroidism are reappearing. Dear Sreeram, I think your mother doesn't require to increase the current dosage. TSH value 5.35 is still not high..it's just at borderline high. so better to focus on improving her metabolism. Mental peace is very much required, for that she can do meditation, Pranayam like Ujjayayi. She can start taking Trikatu powder (ayurvedic powder) half tea spoon twice a day with honey.
