I was running and suddenly a pain started at a small point just little above ankle of right leg. But I keep running that time but after reaching home I was unable to land my foot and walk on it. After 2 days some relief after I heat it with alum water and apply move/volini after 4 days I can properly land on foot now it is 7 days and i'm unable to run same problem a muscle hurts very bad while I run. No fracture found in x-ray just a point hurts whenever pressed above ankle not on ankle. My physical is just 1 month away what should do I do.

hi u r wear sports shoes when r u running after running u can use hot pack use & then use movie normal day use also comfortable sliper u can go near physiotherapy he/she tell more treatment then u r felling comfortable

Hello lybrate-user, greetings you did not mention how above the ankle, its over the bone or sides (inside or outside), as I can understand you are preparing for physical test, you must be running daily. Possibility of stress fracture is very high which is not shown by xray. To diagnose stress fracture you need to get an mri done. I hope that helps.

Reduce running as far as possible. Maximise rest before your physical. What you have is shin splints. Read up on that and make sure that you done worsen it.

Very likely a stress fracture which is not visible on x-rays is the reason for your pin point pain. Whatever is the reason bone, muscle,tendon or ligament, proper rest is the answer. Give healing time to your hurting tissues. You can supplement calcium and vitamin d to help healing your likely stress fracture other than rest. Over time it'll heal. Good luck.
