Hello. Sorry to hear about your accident. The accident must have caused blunt trauma to your eyes. This kind of trauma may lead to what we call traumatic glaucoma or angle recession glaucoma. If that is the case then pressure of eye will be high and has to be controlled by drops or oral medicines otherwise it will cause irreversible loss of vision in that eye. What is the drop you are using? There are 5-6 different varieties of pressure lowering drops. Long term use may cause side effects too. Let me know so that we can plan your treatment further. Mostly, other eye will not be having issues because of the affected eye. But just be sure that the other eye was not damaged at all due to the accident. Otherwise, what you can do it next time you visit an eye clinic, get done a gonioscopy examination of both eyes.
