I am suffering from tendonitis from the last 2 years, recently a months ago my doctor (an orthopedic), given me 2 steroid injection on my wrist and on arm joint. But after taking injection he told that within few days pain will go away, but its been more than 30 days, still pain is there, and I am not being able to lift any materials or even light product from that hand, as its paining and not getting energy in that particular hand. I am highly concern about it, discuss with doctor but he said for physiotherapy, but still condition is same. What to do.

Hi lybrate-user, sad to hear about your pain and you are suffering since long time, well tendinitis is some times tricky to treat and definitely it will take some time 6 months to 12 months to complete recovery but definitely if treated properly ain gradually subsides. I would like to suggest you to consult nearby physiotherapist do some pain free activity suggested by physiotherapist and exercises. Also try ultrasound therapy twice week this will definitely help. Apply ice in the painful area which would definitely help to greater extent. And you can wear elbow brace which would help you to keep your elbow warm and will give you protection.
