Hi, bow leg can be the cause of your knee pain. When you stand and bear weight on your legs the line of weight bearing doesn't align with the expected weight bearing surfaces of the joint, this causes strain on the long bone and would surely cause more than expected wear and tear of the joint surfaces. Early osteoarthritis might set in. You can not do much about this. But yes you can strengthen your knee joint so well that degeneration is delayed and also you can use lateral wedges under your sole which will help in relieving the compressing joint surface. This will not only take care of your joint but also reduce the pain. But first please make sure that bow legs is the correct diagnosis for you.
