Hi sir, thank you for your query. Myself being an allopathy practitioner kindly don’t consider my reply as biased. The choice whether to take a medicine or not is totally up to you sir. From your description it seems you do have hypertension and the consulting doctor has in-fact given you an arb (telmisartan) for control of bp. So my doubt is are you facing any side effects due to which you feel this medication isn’t right for you? As you yourself mentioned taking the medicine has in-fact helped to control bp. Whether to continue telma or not is totally up to you. Yes,definitely go for what you feel is right coz no practising doctor will speak ill of another discipline simply coz we haven’t learnt that discipline. Time being no matter what you choose 1.reduce your salt intake as much as possible, 2.try and exercise daily for as much as tolerable, 3.try dash diet which includes fruits, vegetables, low fat dairy and reduced saturatedandtotal fat, 4.get the basic tests done which includes: fasting lipid profile, urine analysis mainly for albumin, thyroid function test, renal function etc. Incase of any doubts feel free to contact directly.

Its better to continue tazloc. You can go for aggressive lifestyle modifications like walk for 45 minutes daily and less of oily things rice and sugar and more of vegetables and fruits for control of bp.
