Eating chocolates is not the only reason for the development of cavities.. Any food that goes unclean and left behind, on tooth surface leads to the development of cavities. If the cavities are not too deep it can be restored by dental cements. If the cavities are too deep then it can be restored by root canal treatment, followed by placement of crown ( I.e. cap ) As the children don't understand the importance of brushing, being parents you should take personal care for their oral hygiene.. Consult a pedodontist ( specialist for dentistry in children).
