Hello, I have found your thyropace tablets useful. Appreciate if you could clarify the following query. I am diagnosed with hypothyroid for the last 12 years. I am suffering from brain fog and daytime drowsiness due to disturbed sleep. Is thyropace advisable instead of thyronorm tablets (thyroxine sodium) for hypothyroid and brainfog? If so, what is the dosage of l-tyrosine for thyroxine sodium 75 mcg? Thanks.

Mr. lybrate-user, thanks for the query. I have seen the details mentioned. It appears that some other doctor must have answered you earlier. As I do not recommend thyropace in the treatment of hypothyroidism. This has absolutely no role to play. The only treatment for hypothyroidism is taking an adequate dose of levothyroxine and maintain tsh around 3 to 4 mu/l. At that level all the symptoms are in check. Brain fog as stated could be due to inadequate treatment. So please check your tsh and then if necessary increase the dosage of levothyroxine. Thanks.
