I am having pain around the scapula ligaments (not in muscles) towards the inner portion facing to backbone and all the way below, in underarms and towards upper pectoral) for almost 10 years. Generally, I don't feel this pain during my day to day activities. But, it pains on some of the spots, only while pressing with fingers with a considerable pressure, which feels like an inflammation clot (this is permanent, but only on strong pressing, otherwise it does?t feel. No swellings or tumors like. Coming to point, if I (purposely) stress this part by doing exercises esp. Push-ups, pull-ups, of lifting heavy weights etc. The pain aggravates after the activity and & feels burning, rigid & irritating. At this time, the spots feels highly painful while pressing with fingers. Fortunately, after that, by 2 or 3 days? rest, the pain fades away and returns to original state. I myself (recently after several trials and experience from previous treatments) found that, the pain was caused due to a particular set of motion. My previous history given below: 1.Initially, I was doing gym workouts with shoulder press etc. I felt a gradual pain radiating all over my left limb from thumb to scapula. However, this pain is inconveniently bearable, but not severe. Stopped gym. Consulted doctor, bone x-rays made. No issues found. Advised to rest & taken medications for muscle spasms. The same suggested by three different consultations at different hospitals. By resting, the pain gradually become uncommon over the course of several months. However, there after I could not never do the stressful exercises esp. Push-up movements like (until today). If I do, again the pain comes. 2.Consulted a neurologist. Ct scan done & no issues found with backbone or spinal cords etc. Blood uric acid level found high. Taken medication & diet controlled. Later on observed, this was irrelevant (since I again started trying the push-up exercises, the same condition of pain & no pain after rest persisted). 3.I discontinued doing stressful exercises or heavy lift and as usual the pain was uncommon or almost nothing (since I was not disturbing those affected areas). 4.Recently (2021), I consulted a sports physiotherapist who concluded this was due to ergonomics/ postures (regular use of pc ?office works). Advised set of resistance band exercises and continued it almost more than a month. Was going fine & successful in progress of almost all sort of movements without much pain. Suddenly 1 day, the pain (more correctly saying bearable pain with more stiffness of muscles) shoot you after doing a push-up exercise. Thereupon I stopped doing & it is neither growing high nor low. From my conscience, I believe this pain is not due to problem with muscles, bones or ligaments, but something else, most probably due to nerve congestion like as I feel. Since the pain is reoccurring, only when it is stimulated by set of movements and it disappears when rested for days. In this regard, it would be a great help for me to seek your valuable advice to address this chronic condition & restore my life to normalcy, for I will be thankful to you ever.

Cold compresses can help reduce swelling in the area. Cooling also helps to numb sharp pain. Apply an ice pack for up to 20 minutes, up to five times a day. Use a frozen gel pack, ice cubes in a plastic bag, or a bag of frozen peas. Wrap the cold pack in a soft towel. Do not apply a cold pack directly to skin. Heat therapyheat helps to relax tense muscles and soothe a stiff area. It can help with muscle pain and arthritis in the shoulder. Use a heated gel pack, heating pad or a hot water bottle.
