I am suffering from Glaucoma from last 7 years and I have gone through three operation on my Right eye due to Retina Detachment. Now my question is there have possibility of replacement of retina and can glaucoma occur in my left eye? I am scared about it. Cause from last 3-4 years I am seeing some lines are floating in front of my vision but four month ago I have visited Vasan Eye Care Chennai and the doctor told me that my left eye is healthy and there is no problem in it. But those lines disturb me a lot. Need a proper advise Doctor. What should I do now?

hello....Glaucoma in ur right eye may be due to silicone oil that is injected after retinal detachment to keep retina intact...or some other cause (secondary glaucoma). secondary glaucoam is usually due to some prinary cause and usually is unilateral...dont panic about left eye.but yes keep ue left eye under regular follow up.. we need to find out the cause for retinal detachment in right eye and we have to b very cautious that retina remains intact in left eye and same cause may not cause retina detachment in left eye... regarding floating lines..i think these could be floaters which is due to vitreous liquifaction..just avoid them...ur brain will learn to neglect them but if u keep looking at them thne ur brain will keep giving undue attention to them and u will b disturbed
