Dear lybrate-user, have you thought of other reasons for your weight gain? May be indiscriminate eating of carbohydrates and lack of adequate exercise. Of course shifting from olanzapine to aripiprazole might help in stopping the weight gain and regularisation of menstrual cycles. Not in a month, may be over 3-6 months. Please get your prolactin levels done and consult again, if necessary. Psychologists don't know about these tablets. Only psychiatrists, doctors with mbbs will know.Â

Hi lybrate-user, olanzapine has side effects of increase appetite leading to weight gain. It can happen more than 50 % of people. Sertraline on contrary can suppress appetite. Aripiprazole has less side effects of weight gain. Both olanzapine and aripiprazole are antipsychotic and am not sure why you are prescribed unless you have severe anxiety. The only way to reduce your weight is by exercise and healthy diet. Â

Anxiety stress patients worry too much. Stress in today?s day & age where stress is high, feelings of frustration can emerge. It is our perception that can change our current negative situation into a healthy & positive one. Another way of perceiving these feelings of frustration can be by looking at them as an opportunity to push ourselves to go that little extra mile until we achieve our objective. However, there are times when we all can go around in circles; and being in this space can be quite upsetting and lead to feelings of dissatisfaction, frustration and can even cloud our mind and judgment. Exercise one hr daily, oil massage body, hobby, support from friends family, help others, weekly holiday, yoga, meditation. Â
