Hello lybrate-user gum inflammation can be because of many reasons. We first need to find out the source of inflammation. In many cases it is improper oral hygiene. Not all the cases require antibiotics or the medication you mentioned. If you follow 1. Correct brushing technique 2.flossing daily 3. Use of mouthwash like chlorohexidine, hydrogen peroxide, or betadine or salt water rinses 4.use of interdental brushes 5. After discontinued medicine you can take safer medicine paracetamol for pain n amoxicillin antibiotics.
