Your gums are inflammed for that there can be many reasons. We first need to find out the source of inflammation. In many cases it is improper oral hygiene. Gum diseases are very slow disease, it starts with eating gums then in further stage it starts eating bones around the tooth, making teeth mobile over the time. To see what is your gum infection level, you need to send pictures, also getting a teeth xray will be wonderful. At the very basic stage we start with scaling and polishing, then deeper scaling i.e curettage and root planning. Then gum treatment can be done with a laser or with a basic surgical procedure. Lasers are nonsurgical, painless, and heals effectively. It is more expensive than a surgical procedure starting 15000/25000/35000/50000/70000. Or more depending on the severity level of gums, area of treatment, and the doctor's experience. You can start with conservative treatment i.e get full mouth scaling and polishing then. Must follow 1. Correct brushing technique url/watch? V=mvri4mlhofo 2.flossing daily url/watch? V=eap2feo4hci 3. Use of mouthwash like chlorohexidine, hydrogen peroxide, or betadine or salt water rinses 4.use of interdental brushes 5. Gum paints like stolin. Metrohex plus gel by following oral hygiene practices you can reduce or even stop the gum inflammation completely. You might require medication but for that you need to provide complete history, send gums picture, medical history, and your daily oral hygiene routine. Periodontitis is common problem among diabetic patients, maintain your blood sugar level to avoid further progression of disease, periodontitis can be treated with simple scaling and root planing procedure under prophylactic antibiotic coverage prescribed by treating dentist after evaluating your clinical condition of disease, further maintaining good oral hygiene is of utmost importance. Laser treatment is required in periodontal diseases which show extra growth of gums, but if there is no growth covering tooth structure then simple scaling and root planing procedure followed by medication and instructions for maintaining oral hygiene would suffice.
