Hello, thanks for the query. I have seen the details mentioned. From that I understand that you are a hypothyroid patient since 20 years, plus with hba1c% at 7% there is type 2 diabetes that has also developed. Another important aspect is your excessive weight with a bmi (body mass index) of 43.35 kg/sq meter (normal < 23 k/sq meter) you have already crossed grade 3 obesity. You have only mentioned tsh value (0.67 mu/l), which seems closer to lower limit. But no information on t3 & t4 levels. It is necessary to give following details if any suggestion is to be made,: fasting, pp glucose, t3 & t4 levels, dietary pattern, extent of daily exercises, lipid profile and bp reading as well as pulse rate. One thing is very clear unless an effort is made to cut down weight by at least 5 to 8 %, there will be no benefit at all. If you are willing to get some suggestions from me, please come back with all the above details preferably in a private conversation, then I will be able to give specific guidance and even prescribe any medication that may be required. As regards hba1c% (7%), if you make a sincere effort to cut down some weight, glucose levels may come to normal without any treatment. Otherwise you will have to start taking treatment for controlling blood glucose. Thanks.
