Dental floss is used for cleaning interdental spaces to maintain oral health. All food having excess sugar like colas, fruit juices candies, chocolate. Cake pastry and sweets are harmful kindly ensure cleaning your mouth properly every time you take sweets/snacks rich in sugar and make sure you brush before going to sleep use listerine mouthwash regularly I am sure they are covered under nhs but please check with them your entitlement. You should use inter dental brush to ensure cleaning of interdental spaces and maintain good oral hygiene. Normally we advise restricted use of soft drinks but there is no harm in taken any drink in moderation and rinse mouth properly after drinks.
