I am 35 years old female and I have hypothyroidism. First diagnosed in 2016. Had thyrox 25 for 6 months then stopped. Latest tsh was 14 in 2021. please guide.

Hello, thanks for the query. I have seen the query. The information about thyroid profile is too old. You will have to get current thyroid profile (t3, t4 & tsh) done and report that. Plus madam please remember hypothyroidism is not cured. Patient has to take the supplement of levothyroxine (in adequate dosage) for life time. Abruptly stopping the treatment can lead to uncontrolled hypothyroidism and its various consequences. If you are looking for appropriate treatment advise then please come back with following details: thyroid profile, anti tpo antibodies test, lipid profile, cbc in a private conversation, then I will be able to give specific guidance and even prescribe necessary medication.
