I have hypothyroidism, earlier I had 150 tsh level and gone through 100 mcg thyronorm med. I had no symptoms of it though when I had it, I lack healthy body and was very underweight. Which was strange to this condition. Now its 4 years passed and I checked regularly, it was normal. But recent days I took the medicine with food always, I checked tsh level now amd it was 26. When I consulted Dr. he said to increase dose to 125 mcg. So do I need to increase? Or stay with 100 mcg but have before 1 hr before food. Will it solve problem?

It's important to follow the advice of your doctor when it comes to adjusting your thyroid medication dose. Based on your recent tsh level of 26, it's likely that your thyroid hormone levels are not adequately controlled on your current dose of 100 mcg. Your doctor may recommend increasing your dose to 125 mcg to bring your tsh level back into the normal range. Taking your medication at least an hour before food can help ensure proper absorption, but it may not be enough to fully control your hypothyroidism. It's important to work closely with your doctor to monitor your tsh levels and adjust your medication dose as needed to keep your thyroid hormone levels within the normal range. Hello, thanks f or the query I have seen the details mentioned. However, I would like to know the following: current t3, t4 & tsh levels (26 that you are mentioning is it tsh?) and if you have done anti tpo antibodies test please inform the details. Also it is better to look at your lipids (cholesterol levels). On seeing all the details I will be able to give correct advise. Another important aspect is levothyroxine tablet has to be always taken early morning on empty stomach and nothing should be taken for next 1 hour. This has to strictly followed. Thanks.
