Hello, I consulted ophthalmologist regarding my mother (aged 69 years having medical history with bp, hyperthyroid, cholesterol )eye corneal scar in both eyes and as per him innermost layer of cornea is at early decomposition and it's futch dystrophy. As of now some eye drops are being prescribed but I want to know is there any effective treatment besides corneal transplant of stopping the further deterioration of those cells?
