I am 46 year old female. My doctor said that my stroke has developed into hemiparesis. I was not so much aware about it so I checked on the internet about the disease. I found that there is another disease very similar to hemiparesis. So doctor please let me know what is the difference between hemiparesis and hemiplegia?

Hemiparesis refers to a moderate or incomplete weakness or reduction of strength on one side of the body. In contrast, hemiplegia denotes a severe or total loss of strength or paralysis on one side of the body. The primary distinction between these two conditions lies in their levels of severity.
