Yes, there is absolutely a link between hyperthyroidism and dental health. In fact, there is such a strong link between thyroid problems and dental problems. In these patients, there is elevated risk of gum disease, heart disease, dry mouth (xerostomia), cavities, and dental caries, enlarged / swollen tongue (macroglossia, distorted sense of taste (dysgeusia) etc.
