Frequent change of eyeglasses is sign of uncontrolled diabetes, so consult good endocrinologist. There will be no need of change of eyeglasses if your diabetes is strictly controlled. Go for simple lenses and not the costly ones. They are just minting money from you.

Dear lybrate-user, polarised sunglasses can be used by anyone. In fact, I advice everyone to use Polaroid (though slightly more expensive) since they offer best sun protection! But I don't advice contact lens for you though. People with diabetes better avoid contact lenses ,as the risk of corneal infection will be high. Change your spects only after good control of blood sugar and try to maintain it at normal levels. Lastly, don't forget to get your retina checked up every year to rule out diabetic retinopathy.
