Study with a calm & relaxed mind. Try to enjoy your studies & stay positive. Do not take your studies as a stress. Take the following measures to improve your concentration & prepare well: •Make a study routine giving maximum time for studies. Also give adequate time for sleep, rest & relaxation. Between studies you have to relax also. This will help in sustaining your interest & concentration. Try to stick to your routine. At night look back how much you could follow the routine & reward yourself if the day was productive & to your satisfaction. In the form of reward you can give little extra time for relaxation next day, watch TV or spend some with internet, eat something you like, meet a friend etc. Encourage yourself daily. •Revise your lessons regularly. •Study relaxly with a calm mind & take small breaks during studies. •Group studies & group discussions are also helpful. •Do not try to memorize blindly. Try to understand your lessons. •Write down the main points & form mnemonics from them. Mnemonic devices are techniques which help to remember something. It’s a simple shortcut that helps us associate the information we want to remember with an image, a sentence, or a word. •Have a plan to manage your time of study. Make a routine for studying. Study for 30-45 minutes & then take 5-10 mins break. •Be confident of yourself & do not compare yourself with others. •If you feel stressed while studying, talk to someone, listen to some music or do something that relax you. •Create the environment in your study room similar to your exam hall. Then you will find your exam hall comfortable & familiar. •Expect exam outcomes rationally & what is within your capability. Impractical & over expectation that is beyond one’s capability brings in fear & frustration. •During these days of preparation for exam eat healthy, stay hydrated & avoid substances of abuse, as a healthy body prepares a healthy mind. •Every morning relax yourself adequately before you sit for studies; go for a walk, spend some time with nature, go for a walk, do yoga, breathing exercise or relaxation techniques. •On the day prior to exam sleep adequately. •Reach the examination hall before time so that you are relaxed & mentally prepared for the exam. Do not guess the exam outcomes just target to give your best. Think positive. Start writing with a calm mind. Be aware of the anxiety symptoms, & if you feel anxiety is building up, just concentrate on breathing in & out slowly or tighten & relax your shoulders or stretch your legs. You can also take a small break & drink some water •Do not look around; just concentrate on your paper. •Revise quickly once you finish answering. All the best for your preparation & for your exam. Give your best.
