lybrate-user, Thanks for the query. Foods which are good for a diabetes patient are: Green leafy vegetables, fruits like papaya, pomegranate, water melon, orange, sweet lime, pear, apple, guava and other melons. Non fat milk, eggs (preferably without egg yolk), whole grain flour made rotis and chapatis. Low fat cheese Foods which are harmful include: all items made of maida, bakery items, junk foods, pastries, colas, deep fried foods, red meat, packaged foods and those containing fructose syrup. Ghee and butter are also bad. Total daily intake has to be properly regulated, based on his ideal body weight, extent of physical activity and blood glucose levels. Plus alcohol and smoking to be refrained. Thanks.
