My husband is 28 years old. High cholesterol values detected recently. Tc-242, ldl-181, hdl-42, tg-94. His father and paternal grandfather died of myocardial infarction. Father died at a younger age of around 42 yrs. I doubt is it due to his genetic predisposition that is leading to this very high levels like apob100 or ldl receptor mutation. If so kindly advice regarding management of his condition. What drugs to start with, ideal dose to start with? I'm his wife and I'm a medicine graduate by profession. Kindly help and give your valuable advice. Thanking you.
