Dear sir/madam, please let me know that is it necessary to opt for kidney dialysis, else I have chance to reduce urea, creatinine & total/hdl cholesterol? The following results are as per the test given below: 1) urea 112. 2 mg/dl 2) creatinine 6.6 mg/dl 3) triglycerides 103. 1 mg/dl 4) total cholesterol 212. 7 mg/dl 5) ldl cholesterol 109. 6 mg/dl 6) vldl 20. 6 mg/dl 7) hdl cholesterol 62. 9 mg/do the above results are for male patient. Hi, As based on this report there is no need to go for dialysis now. For adults, dialysis is recommended when the estimated glomerular filtration rate (gfr) levels reach approximately 10.0 ml/min. The serum creatinine and bun/creatinine tests are usually performed during regular blood work.
