I have under gone blood checkup. Few results are high and few are low. I have mentioned them below: high: total cholesterol-240 mg/dl-[125-200] ldl cholesterol - direct -175 mg/dl-[85-130] tc/ hdl cholesterol ratio-5.6 ratio-[3-5] ldl / hdl ratio-4 ratio -[1.5-3.5] non-hdl cholesterol-197 mg/dl-[<160] low: total thyroxine (t4) -4.4 �g/dl -[4.5-12] blood urea nitrogen (bun) -6.57 mg/dl-[7-25] bun / sr. Creatinine ratio-8.32 ratio-[9: 1-23: 1] kindly suggest me what these mean and what are the precaution need further.

Your lipid profile is high. You can do the following-- stop smoking (if you smoke). Smoking lowers your hdl, (?good?) cholesterol level. Change the way you eat. Low-fat, low-cholesterol eating benefits all your lipid levels. Lose weight if necessary. Maintain a healthy lifestyle start exercising. Nuts, such as almonds, pistachios, and walnuts, contain high amounts of unsaturated fat or ?good? fats, which increase high-density lipoprotein (HDL) and lower low-density lipoprotein (ldl). Also, follow this 1. Don't take tea empty stomach. Eat something like a banana (if you are not diabetic) or any seasonal fruit or soaked almonds and a glass of water first thing in the morning (within 10 mins of waking up). No only biscuits or rusk will not do. 2. Don't overeat 3. Take your breakfast every day. Don't skip it. 4.
