My knees were dislocated 10 years ago. Still it's painful while running or doing sit up.

Hi. Have you done any strengthening program after that. or Are you going to gym to strengthen knee muscles. Gym Rehab is important before starting to jog or Run. if you are going to gym try to concentrate on core muscles also along with strengthening. warm up and cool down is essential before and after jogging or running respectively.
