I am 59 years old. Upon checking my blood for lipid profile my cholesterol levels were found high. The doctor prescribed tab. rozavel f 20. I took it for two months. Then had blood check again. This time all cholesterol levels were within normal range. But the doctor asks to continue rosuless f 10. Should I continue taking statin drug even when blood check is normal.

If your total cholesterol level is high because of a high ldl level, you may be at higher risk of heart disease or stroke. But, if your total cholesterol level is high only because of a high hdl level, you're probably not at higher risk. Triglycerides are another type of fat in your blood. Let's have a detailed discussion to ensure proper treatment.
