After taking stalopam 10 mg from 2 days for Major Depressive Disorder, feeling weird like Nausea, Dizziness, Increased appetite, Drowsiness, Flu like symptoms and Excessive tiredness. And from tomorrow I have to take it 1/per day for 5 days. Is this ok or should I stop taking this medicine.

Plz don't decrease/increase the dose of your psychiatrist by your own without showing your problem to psychiatrist. If you don't feel good after taking medicine then please tell to your Dr. They will help u.

Dear lybrate-user, some of your symptoms may be side effect of stalopam and some are due to your major depressive disorder. Stalopam needs 2-3 weeks to start its antidepressant action. Side effects come earlier. Please discuss with your psychiatrist. He/she may change the medicine or reduce dose or give another medicine for your symptoms - it might be flu itself added to your major depressive disorder. If you can tolerate don't stop stalopam and consult your psychiatrist.
