I use glasses no. 5 (farsighted ) and also use glasses for near vision at the time of reading of newspaper . I bear no pain in the eyes . I am diabetic for the last 6 years. What I feel a dark spot (Guccha what we call in hindi language ) and some lines wider . What can be this problem . please guide . Whether it is mota etc.

Diabetes predisposes the eye to a number of diseases like diabetic retinpathy- affects your retina or back of the eye. Cataract or safed motiabin - opacity in your natural lens of eye. Glaucoma or kala motia - permanent irreversible damage to nerve of your eye and if uncontrolled sugar- also to eye infections. It is recommended by indian medical and ophthalmological councils to undergo routine dilated comprhensive eye evaluation at regular intervals. Depending on you systemic control and history it may be once in 6 months to once in 2 years.
