My triglycerides 184 mg/dl. Fasting sugar 103 mg PP sugar 172 Mg/dl. Prostatoegaly 50 cc. BP 160/90. I am taking Olmetrack AM for BP. Whether any medicine to be taken for elevated Triglycerides/ PP sugar. I am taking Veltam 0.4 for enlarged prostate. Pl advise.

Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks for the query. Your blood gglucose levels (particularly PP) show that you are in pre-diabetic state. WHich means if you take proper precautions then you will be able to prevent it from becoming full fledged diabetes or postpone it. Your TGL is high, but not in the range that needs any drug. Dietary changes can control it. Your BP in spite of present treatment is not in good control. It should be 130/80 mm Hg oe 140/90 mm Hg But 160 /90 is high. Either increase in dose or addition of another drug may be needed. Thanks.
