I am 56 years old male having normal sugar and BP 140/80. Total cholesterol is 344 and triglycerides 466. Further T3 is. 23, T4 is. 80 & TSH 159. I am currently taking no medicine. Please advise.

Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks for the query. I have gone through the details, and understand the concern. You seem to have dyslipidemia and severe hypothyroidism. Some times untreated hypothyroidism causes increase in cholesterol. Hence, you have to start treatment for hypothyroidism with Levothyroxine. Once if TSH is corrected everything should fall in line. Thanks.
