Hi doc! I have small doubt recently I saw my sister's medical report about her brain functioning it was stated that she is dyslexic with Mr. of 60%.is it curable. She seems to be normal like any other common person but with an exception she finds difficulty in learning. Is it advisable for her to get married nd if she has kids are there any chances of transmission.

Dyslexia is a learning disorder, basically affecting the reading and comprehension skills. Since reading is the most important component of studies, these children lag behind in academics. This condition is generally not curable but with a good treatment, it is largely manageable and the person can lead a good life. Getting married is a matter of choice, however this condition is seen to run in families and there is about a 40% chance of children being affected.
