Foods that are high in unsaturated fats include avocados, nuts, seeds, oily fish, sunflower oil, rapeseed oil and olive oil. ? Oils are best for added fat ? use small amounts, avoid frying ? lybrate-user, Thanks for the query. Hashimoto's Thyroiditis (HT), is an autoimmune disorder, which causes hypothyroidism. Hypothyroidism does lead to dyslipidemia. Therefore, correction hypothyroidism is the main treatment. That does correct the high cholesterol levels. There is no specific diet for either HT or hypothyroidism. What is necessary is to avoid soy beans, soy containing products as those affect thyroxine action. Plus it is necessary to avoid saturated and trans fats. Consume a good deal of green leafy vegetables, salads and fruits. Always use whole grain flour for roti and chapati. Thanks.
